This project marked the first official large-scale endeavor by SchnickSchnack! Productions—a year-long effort to produce four image films for the Conservation and Restoration program at Fachhochschule Potsdam. The films provided a glimpse into the diverse disciplines within the program: Wood, Stone, Mural Painting, and the cross-disciplinary subject Natural Sciences & Design. Each video aimed to capture the unique character, workshops, and projects of its respective subject while showcasing the shared creativity and dedication across the program. The mission was clear: to inspire prospective students and make them eager to explore FHP’s offerings.

Recognizing the scale and complexity of the project, we expanded our core team to include fellow student Milan Wulf, who brought invaluable film industry experience, and two external collaborators—Manuel Vonau behind the camera and Julia Zernke as assistant. Milan’s expertise proved essential throughout the process, elevating the production quality significantly.

The project required extensive pre-production, coordination, and communication with multiple stakeholders. Katharina Brackemann spearheaded the project’s communication, conception, and partial direction, while I handled financial planning, proposal writing, and assisted both in directing and post-production. Together, we navigated the challenge of addressing the varied expectations and concerns of everyone involved. Guided by advice from our business coach, we adopted a hands-on approach to ensure smooth collaboration and clear communication.

The result was a collection of engaging, visually compelling films that highlighted the unique charm and depth of FHP’s Conservation and Restoration program. Each video reflected our commitment to creativity, professionalism, and the ability to bring diverse perspectives to life on screen.
