This project involved two promotional videos for the dual study bachelor programs Civil Engineering and Social Work at Fachhochschule Potsdam. Aimed at resonating with a modern audience, the videos were created by students, with students, and for future students. They presented a well-rounded perspective, blending insights from professors and students while showcasing the programs’ integration of online learning, hands-on workplace training, and theoretical education at the university.

Filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the production captured diverse aspects of student life through Zoom interviews, workplace demonstrations with mentors, and campus scenes, including a professor-student discussion in the garden and at the park. A barbecue gathering outside the student bar added a fun and relaxed atmosphere, where students and professors mingled casually, emphasizing the camaraderie and collaborative spirit of the programs.

The collaborative effort involved myself operating the primary camera, co-direction, and managing post-production. Vicky Calov led the direction and coordinated with professors and students, while Katharina Brackemann managed the second camera. Both Vicky and Katharina also appeared on screen alongside fellow students Paul Slemeyer and Shari Schulz. Additional support came from Wencke Osinski on audio and Luisa Becker, who captured supplemental B-roll footage. The result was a pair of engaging and relatable videos, highlighting the strengths of the dual study programs.
