This hand-drawn animation recreates Bokko, a Korean techno dance popular in South Korean nightclubs during the 2000s. Using a video reference, I meticulously traced the dancer’s movements frame by frame in Photoshop, producing 400 individual drawings to capture the dance’s energy and rhythm.

To enhance the sense of motion, I experimented with motion blur effects by incorporating “smears” into fast movements, creating a fluid and dynamic transition between frames. The animation was later re-edited to sync with a new music track, with precise adjustments to ensure seamless timing and a smooth looping sequence.
