This project explores the concept of transformation through a clay figure that moves in rhythm with the music. The result is a graceful dance that evolved organically during the animation process, inspired by my own movements observed in a mirror.
Influenced by Michael Langan’s experimental short Choros (2014), I integrated chronophotography techniques to craft a flowing, dynamic visual style. Set to Max Richter’s evocative composition The Departure (2014), the film embodies the essence of saudade—a Portuguese term for bittersweet longing—giving the piece its poignant title.
