This experimental short film explores themes of memory, identity, and existential uncertainty. Created entirely through improvisation, with no plans or storyboards, the project was driven by instinct and the flow of the moment. It follows a humanoid figure, played by myself, emerging from a wheat field, struggling to understand its surroundings and unsure of its identity. The figure may have crash-landed from another world, leading to a loss of memory, with its disorientation expressed through a physical struggle to rise and the alienation of the figure’s own body.

The focus of the story shifts toward a distant box, which the figure approaches. Its contents remain concealed, making the box a metaphor for something fleeting and elusive—a call, a purpose, or a deeper truth just out of reach which is amplified by the alien-like vocalizations in Jóhann Jóhannsson’s Heptapod B (2016). The film reflects on the fragility of existence and the search for meaning, inviting the viewer to interpret the journey toward understanding and purpose.
